Interdisciplinary Studies (BA)
Description
The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies program produces graduates who think critically and communicate effectively, setting them up to succeed in an increasingly diverse society. Students examine pressing social issues through this program that intentionally integrates different disciplines to broaden and deepen understanding with keen attention to identifying meaningful outcomes. This highly flexible program allows students, with their advisor’s guidance, to tailor their coursework to fit their personal interests and career goals, creating the degree designed for them.

Admission Requirements
All Detroit Mercy applicants may apply directly into the BA in Interdisciplinary Studies program and must meet the ºÚÁÏÔÚÏß admission requirements. Transfer students must have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.0 to be considered for admission.

Degree Requirements - Bachelor of Arts with major in Interdisciplinary Studies (120 credits)
This undergraduate degree requires students to fulfill the and the program requirements, and to complete a minimum of 120 credit hours.
Focus Areas
Students must complete at least two areas of focus that are 15 credits each.
At least half of the courses in each focus area must be from Detroit Mercy. 6 credits in each focus area must be 3000+ level.
